Executive Team
Moira T Burke Managing DirectorMoira’s fields of expertise include clinical trial operations, finance, and sales & marketing. Experienced in technical and regulatory matters, Moira uses her knowledge of the industry to provide a high level of personal support to clients in all research projects. She is also responsible for the day to day management of the BioKinetic Europe organisation.
David J A Bell Medical Director & Principal Investigator David has been Principal Investigator for over 300 trials in a wide range of therapeutic areas during the course of his career. His vast experience ensures any clinical pharmacology studies, Phase II and Phase III trials undertaken by BioKinetic Europe have expert control and medical oversight. He is a member of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and is also a committee member of the Association for Human Pharmacology in the Pharmaceutical Industry (AHPPI) and a member of the Phase 1 Advisory Group of the National Research Ethics Service.
Patricia J Kuehl Associate Director of OperationsPatty’s extensive QA Management experience brings unique added-value to the BioKinetic Europe organisation. She has experience in over 25 regulatory inspections. Patty’s input in direct management of all operational personnel and procedures ensures BKE offers a world-class service to its clients.
Bronagh Cushnahan HR/Marketing Manager Bronagh manages two functions within the BioKinetic Europe Management Team – Human Resources and Marketing. Bronagh’s dynamic business approach ensures BioKinetic Europe has a secure market presence in both Europe and the USA. As a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, Bronagh has implemented Human Resources Procedures of an exacting standard to meet client expectations.
Sharyn Bowden Clinical Trials ManagerSharyn has over 14 years experience in clinical trials. Her extensive experience, hands-on approach and attention to detail ensure her clinical operations team conduct all studies in compliance with regulation and guidelines.
Sharon O’Hare Recruitment ManagerSharon and her skilled recruitment team apply a systematic and methodical approach to this function. BioKinetic Europe currently has a customised database of over 11,500 volunteers. We are therefore confident of our ability to deliver on a wide range of client requirements in varied research projects.
Nick Maxwell Data/IT Manager Nick and his team guarantee disciplined and careful data management, document design and quality control. As a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Nick ensures regulatory compliance of the network infrastructure, telecommunications and IT. Nick has been a member of our team for over 9 years.
Gary Johnston QA/Regulatory Affairs ManagerGary has over 10 years experience in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs. His meticulous approach delivers on the highest standards for the BioKinetic Europe Quality System, regulatory submissions and GCP / GMP compliance.
Alison Duffin Pharmacist/Project Manager Alison is a key point of contact for clients, providing timely and regular communications. Alison also manages the Pharmacy in all clinical trials, with a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy and membership of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland, Alison is an excellent resource for these two functions.
Deirdre McCollam Admin/Regulatory Coordinator Deirdre provides the vital service of developing submissions for the MHRA (UK Regulatory body) and Research Ethics Committee. Her personable and efficient approach ensures our clients have a smooth, speedy and successful submission procedure, managed entirely by BioKinetic Europe.
Medical Team
Golam Kabir Research Physician Dr Kabir’s medical career includes over 5 years in the clinical research field. His medical qualifications are supplemented by an MSc in Diabetes, MPhil (Biotechnology – Cancer drug research) and MSc (Biotechnology – cancer drug development) as well as a PG diploma (Bioinformatics). During the course of his career, he has worked in three different continents – Africa, Asia and Europe.
Mark Cross Research PhysicianMark has over 5 years service with BioKinetic Europe. His qualifications include a PhD in Clinical Biochemistry and he is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Ulster, teaching medicine at undergraduate and post graduate level. Mark is also a member of the British Pharmacology Society and a committee member of the British Pharmacology Society External Affairs Committee.
